What does a typical day look like?

You will be working in a busy, open plan kitchen preparing & cooking various international hot & cold meals in commercial quantities, for our customer airlines.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

• Prepare and cook hot and cold Economy and Business class meals for our Domestic and International Airline customers.
• Work to the menu specifications of each airline, ensuring ingredient accuracy.
• Assist the Kitchen Team meet daily production targets in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Minimise food wastage and ensure effective stock control.
• Maintain a clean and hygiene working environment at all times.
• Follow all Food Safety, HSE and Hygiene policies, including HACCP, IFSA and QSA

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

• Clear National Police Check.
• Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications 
• Min 3 years commercial Chef experience
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
• Passion and drive to deliver high quality food for our customers.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster & availability to work 38 hrs/week
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, specifications, and processes.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A team-first mindset and willingness to support others.
• Must be motivated, hardworking and have a good attitude.
