We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager, People & Culture Operations to join dnata Catering & Retail Australia, supporting our operational portfolio across Queensland and Western Australia.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused leadership role for an experienced People & Culture professional with experience balancing strategic partnerships and thrives in a fast-paced, complex operational environment. You will partner closely with the Operations General Manager and site based leaders to deliver practical people solutions that strengthen workforce performance, leadership capability, employee experience and business outcomes.

Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture Operations, you will translate the National People Strategy into local people plans and lead your team to deliver key P&C initiatives, coach leaders, build ER/IR capability, support workforce stability and work closely with Operations, HSE, Workforce Planning, Payroll and Training to deliver consistent, compliant and commercially aligned people outcomes.

What are your responsibilities?

• Partnering with the Operations General Manager and site leadership teams to identify people priorities and deliver agreed actions.
• Translating the People Strategy into practical local people plans, initiatives and measurable outcomes.
• Using people data, workforce metrics and case insights to identify risks, target action and improve workforce, culture and operational outcomes.
• Providing clear and practical advice on employment legislation, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, awards, company policy and people processes.
• Lead and develop a geographically dispersed P&C team, fostering a high-performing, consistent and customer-focused service model. 
• Drive workforce planning, leadership capability, change initiatives and employee experience improvements across your portfolio. 
   

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

• Experience partnering with senior leaders at a strategic level, while balancing the delivery of operational priorities.
• Leading a geographically dispersed P&C team and partnering with site based operational leaders in a complex, fast paced and high-volume environment.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across diverse or geographically dispersed workforces.
• Strong ER/IR capability and sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
• Experience coaching leaders through performance, conduct and workplace relations matters.
• Self-motivated, highly organised and able to balance competing priorities across multiple sites and stakeholders. 
• Confident using HR systems, workforce reporting and people data to support practical decision-making. 
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
