We have an exciting opening for an experienced Equipment & Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Brisbane Airport in a permanent full-time position.

More about this role:

This role is responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager with efficient day to day operation of the Warehouse including in the Assembly, Bulk Equipment, Bulk Food, and Bar Packing sections.

This role ensures the production sections have accurate quantity of equipment and all bulk flights are packed according to the Galley Loading Plans (GLP) and are completed in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

• Manage both work sites at dnata catering Brisbane Airport
• Support the Equipment Manager manage the four operational sections and its teams
• Work proactively on issues as they arise such as equipment shortages, delivery scheduling, changing flight schedules to meet the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
• Ensure adequate staff are rostered and cross trained to complete the daily tasks.
• Ensures all flights are packed accurately according to the GLP and deadlines are met.
• Record temperature of food before delivering products to the Operations team
• Ensure that your team, in conjunction with the ULO, meet the Internal Delivery System (IDS) requirements.
• Ensure no waste on bulk food and stock rotation policies are followed in line with the Dnata Catering Food Safety Manual.
• Use dnata systems and reporting to maintain accurate forecasts for Equipment 
• Mentor and monitor performance for each section Leading Hand.
• Adhere to the company’s policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, and customs.
• Support the Unit Logistics Officer (ULO) in monthly stock take for each Airline 
• File all documents as per the departments filing and record keeping system to ensure easy traceability and recovery of documents whenever required.
• Support and advocate a safety first culture

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

• Proven knowledge of logistics management and production process.
• Exposure to manufacturing, warehouse and 3PL environments ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Demonstrates strong organisational / time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Knowledge of the airline catering industry beneficial.
• Competent in documentation and records management.
• Forklift License may be required.
• As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
