We are seeking a General Manager, Inflight Retail to lead our retail partnership with Jetstar Airways across Asia Pacific. This is a full-time, permanent role and can be based in Melbourne or the Gold Coast (Coolangatta). You’ll be accountable for the end-to-end commercial performance and delivery of dnata’s inflight retail program – leading strategy across product, pricing, merchandising, promotions and digital retail to drive revenue and margin. You’ll also ensure safe, compliant, high-quality delivery across dnata sites and third-party partners. Success in this role is built on being a trusted commercial partner to Jetstar – delivering against contractual obligations while proactively identifying and realising value for both organisations. In a nutshell your main responsibilities are: You’ll balance strategic planning with hands-on commercial leadership – working closely with Jetstar and dnata teams to optimise the offer, manage performance, and ensure reliable operational delivery across markets. - Own the Jetstar inflight retail commercial agenda end-to-end (P&L, growth, margin and governance).
- Set the retail strategy and translate insight into a winning offer (range, pricing, merchandising, promotions and digital).
- Be the senior dnata partner to Jetstar – building trusted relationships, leading reviews, and managing risk and escalation.
- Ensure delivery excellence across dnata and third-party partners – SLAs, supplier performance, service recovery and quality.
- Lead the cross-functional account team and financial cadence (budget, forecast, reporting), driving continuous improvement.
What do you need to be successful in this role? - Senior commercial leader with end-to-end P&L ownership in retail, aviation, hospitality or a complex service environment.
- Proven ability to drive growth and margin using customer insight, data and disciplined execution.
- Strong key account capability – governance, negotiation, contract management and stakeholder influence.
- Commercial and financial acumen (forecasting, reporting and decision support) with high personal accountability.
- Collaborative, decisive leader who can align cross-functional teams and partners in a safety, quality and compliance-driven environment.
