We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Cooks to join our busy catering unit at Perth Airport on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering or food production in a fast paced environment working with a high attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Food meal plating, tray set and packing of food carts
- Ensure that presentation / weight specifications are adhered to
- Strictly follow menu specifications and comply with Food Safety / HACCP guidelines
- Ensure that cleaning schedules are followed and adhered to, maintaining a high standard of hygiene at all times
- Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure that time lines are met
- Understand and comply with internal policies and procedures
- Move and lift items manually
- Assist with and/or perform raw material preparation and cooking
- Perform tasks such as baking, grilling, oven and stove-top cooking
- Skilled use of knives and machinery
- Proficient in all airline equipment requirements, stowage and food presentations

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
- Demonstrated experience of working in a food environment
- Basic knife skills
- Fine motor skills
- Knowledge of HACCP / QSAI / Food Safety and OHS
- Prior experience with airline catering (highly regarded) and service oriented
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Prior experience in a HALAL working environment and knowledge regarding segregation and separation of equipment highly regarded
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
