We have an exciting new opportunity for a full time Reconciliation Officer to join our fabulous Jetstar Finance team at our modern Coolangatta office, just moments from the beach! Great opportunity to combine anyone who loves aviation, accounting and catering!

 

More about this role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager Jetstar, this role is responsible for managing the end to end reconciliation efforts for our Jetstar 3K Asia business & 'Buy on Board' program. The position will be overseeing high volumes of data and ensuring that all information from our sources and our airline customer sources are aligned and accurate before invoices are finalised.

 

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

  • Checking pax numbers, meals & snacks loaded vs ordered, pricing accuracy. 
  • Process all incoming work received from Jetstar in timely manner.
  • Accurate reconciliation of weekly volume client statements.
  • Address discrepancies and inconsistencies with within defined JQ flight schedules.
  • Proactively investigate, manage and resolve complex billing enquiries.
  • Escalate any high level discrepancies or customer issues to Finance Manager 
  • Manage data exceptions from our processing systems.
  • Ensure execution of revenue related internal controls through maintenance of and compliance with system controls, audits and company standards.
  • Ensure correct billables on charged to customer are provided to the AR team.
  • Liaise with Procurement and Suppliers to query pricing and with Item Master team to facilitate maintenance of correct pricing in all systems.
  • Ensure electronic scanning and other space saving methods of storage and retrieval are processed accurately.
  • Participate in month end close, final reconciliation of accounts, data analysis and maintaining data integrity.

What you need to be successful in securing this role?

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Experience in a high volume accounts receivable role.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Possesses a customer service mindset and displays professionalism towards both internal and external customers at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
