We are looking for a motivated and driven Production Leading Hand to join their team on a full-time basis. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: - Lead by example and competently performs all duties of a Senior Catering Attendant and Catering Attendant.
- Supervise, train, and induct team members within designated work areas in all internal and external policies and procedures.
- Supervising team members in an area that involves the use of wash machines.
- Skilled use of large machinery.
- Thoroughly understand and implement quality control techniques and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Ensure that that area of responsibility is properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and productivity in designated work areas.
- Investigate discrepancies in stock take.
- Ensure team members receive/adhere to breaks and rosters.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
- Implement directions given by the management.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed as per specification and customer
- Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
- Ensure adherence to Galley Loading Plan (GPL), Cart Packing Plan (CPP) and Equipment Loading Plan (ELP) as applicable to the role.
- Adhere to Company’s policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, Quarantine and Customs as applicable to the role.
- Work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role? - Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week, on a full-time basis.
- Experience of working in a food environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Fine motor skills.
- Access to own transport.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Sound knowledge of WHS & hygiene.
- HACCP experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
