What does a typical day look like?

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dnata catering’s Fleet, including vans, support vehicles, and catering trucks. As the Manager of Fleet, your duties will involve providing operational services to dnata catering staff to ensure effective catering and services at each Port. Additionally, this role includes coordinating national maintenance, repairs, and inspections for local Port locations, and serves as a backup to the Maintenance team for supply deliveries and minor repairs when necessary.

 

What are your responsibilities? 

  •  Manage dnata catering’s Maintenance team members and Contractors across the network, including but not limited to developing and approving work schedules and invoice approvals.
  • Liaise with Business/Unit Managers and Operations Managers to ensure the dnata catering fleet is operational and safety compliance is maintained at all times.
  • Plan and coordinates mechanical services for the fleet and equipment, including repairs and general maintenance.
  • Approve MEX PO/WO as required for all fleet maintenance.
  • Ensure fleet reliability, serviceability, and availability are maintained to KPI targets.
  • Evaluate job performance of the maintenance team members.
  • Liaise with the company safety compliance team to ensure the program for fleet maintenance is adhered to, based on dnata catering’s compliance standards.
  • Assist with strategic planning of the fleet program, including program expansion, and design/build/order process of potential new vans, catering trucks, and equipment.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly compliance reports and review results with maintenance team members and unit management.
  • Maintain vehicle warranties and ensure that claims are made when applicable.
  • Manage and maintain vehicles according to effective cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure Fleet standards and modifications are maintained nationally.
  • Work within budgets as supplied by the company or KPI targets.

 

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Minimum of three years of fleet management experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program operations or project management.
  • Staff supervisory experience.
  • Class “HR” Commercial/Certified Driver’s License with required endorsements.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple worksites within Australian States and Territories.
  • The ability to conduct research and analyze complex issues and engage with key stakeholders to identify options.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high volume, high-value environment.
