More about this role: As a Food Nutrition and Compliance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our food labels meet regulatory standards and customer expectations. Working closely with our Menu Development team, you will verify ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information, helping to maintain dnata catering’s commitment to safety, quality, and compliance. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: - Analyse and record nutritional and allergen data for raw materials and recipes in line with food standards and legislation.
- Generate and approve food labelling content, including ingredient lists, nutrition panels, and relevant claims.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure all product labels remain compliant.
- Collaborate across departments to provide technical guidance on food labelling requirements.
- Maintain and support labelling software and specification databases (e.g., Foodworks Online, Seagull Bartender, ERP).
- Conduct and support internal and supplier audits as required.
- Manage documentation for HACCP, Halal, product specifications, and approved suppliers.
- Provide specialist advice on food safety, environmental risks, and biosecurity.
- Uphold dnata catering’s policies and minimise compliance-related risks.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role? - Food Safety – formal food science and nutrition qualification (Technical/Auditing)
- Formal HACCP certification.
- Proven experience in food labelling, food safety, or compliance within a food service environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety legislation and standards (e.g., FSANZ Code, ACCC, Halal, FDA).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and labelling/ERP systems such as Foodworks Online and Seagull Bartender.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
