Want a high flying career working for the worlds largest air services provider? Join our high performance Data and Planning team as a Schedule and Data Analyst in a fixed-term (12 - 24 months) position based at Sydney Airport.

 

More about this role

This position is responsible for critical data analysis and required to draft, implement and manage on-going maintenance of the Airline schedules for all dnata Flight Catering units across Australia. This process is centrally managed by the National Data & Planning team.

 

So, what does a day in the life of a Schedule and Data Analyst look like?

Working closely with the Schedule & Forecast Planner along with the National Data & Planning team, action regular analysis of schedule and forecast performance, including consulting with our Workforce Planning team and Finance Business Partners extracting and analysing various reports from our systems QAD, JDE, Groundstar and other Catering Systems.

 

This role will also assist the Data and Planning team with menu & and meal policy creation and application within the ERP systems as required.

 

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

  • Airline schedule creation, including forecasts for increases or changes to flight data and to apply these changes into our systems.
  • Using Power BI and Excel to create data models and upload information into ERP
  • Looking at Schedule Management for improvement and optimisation
  • Analyse performance for each of our airline clients and identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with our Catering Schedule Coordinators (CoCos) to ensure the consistent flow of accurate and timely data 
  • Assist with menu building and airline schedule implementation as required.
  • Be involved in weekly briefings, planning sessions and presentations for end of month or quarterly budgeting forecasts.
  • Support the National Manager, Data and Planning across any additional projects

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Experience in volume data analysis and scheduling/forecasting metrics
  • Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, WFP or related discipline. Ideally in Food Manufacturing or Aviation industry is desired.
  • Hands on experience using any of the following ERPs inc JDE, QAD, MFG-Pro 
  • Experience in Advanced Excel modelling and reporting (SQL and Dbase query)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and pickup new systems fairly rapidly.
  • Industry knowledge or experience preferable but not essential.
  • Highly analytical and numerical aptitude with strong problem solving skills
  • Mature reasoning and approach to complex tasks
