Overnight Wash Catering Attendant to join our Melbourne Airport team.

This is a hands-on role that helps keep the Australian aviation industry moving.

More about this role:

This role is responsible for the efficient and fast paced daily operations of the Dishwash (Commercial Stewarding), Bulk Equipment (movement and storage), Bulk Food, and Bar Packing sections.

This role will ensure the Production sections have accurate quantities of Equipment and all bulk flights are packed according to the Galley Loading Plans (GLP) and are completed in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

• Assist the smooth running on the overnight shift for the Wash Area.
• Manage assigned checklist/tasks for completion before the end of your shift
• Prepare the Equipment and Wash section for the Day shift
• Support the Overnight Equipment and Wash Supervisor to manage the equipment for each Airline as required.
• Assist with ensuring enough items are available including any changes to equipment shortages, delivery scheduling, changing flight schedules and report accordingly.
• Ensures all flights are packed accurately according to the GLP for flight ready times.
• Ensure no waste, follow bulk food handling and stock rotation policies if any food requires to be handled.
• Focus on Safety First actions and culture, follow all HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety, Workplace Health, Safety and Environment guidelines.
• File all documents as per the departments filing and record keeping system to ensure easy traceability and recovery of documents whenever required.
• Ensure proper shift handover and smooth communication at start and end of shifts

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?

• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing site or large hospitality venues such as commercial kitchens, hotels, stadiums, convention centres
• Ability to be available for the overnight shift 11pm until 7am x 5 days a week
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Demonstrates strong organisational / time management skills.
• Competent in documentation and records management.
• As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
