About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Leading Hand to join our airport catering team in Darwin. This role is key to ensuring smooth operations, leading teams, and maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and performance.

You will support the coordination of daily catering activities within your area, ensuring aircraft are serviced efficiently and on schedule. Leading by example, you’ll help foster a strong team culture while ensuring compliance with all operational and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate catering operations to ensure on-time aircraft servicing
• Supervise, train and support team members
• Lead by example by performing Driver/Marshaller duties when required
• Allocate resources and manage workflow to meet operational targets
• Monitor team performance, productivity and compliance
• Complete required reporting and administrative tasks
• Maintain safety, quality and regulatory standards (HACCP, WHS, etc.)
• Provide professional communication and customer service

About You

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
• Experience working in fast-paced, operational environments
• Commitment to safety, compliance and high service standards
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions

Requirements

• Valid Australian MR (or higher) Driver’s Licence
• Flexibility to work across different operational areas as required
