The Opportunity


We are seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated and enthusiastic Drivers to join our team in Canberra.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Check and Load airline flight sets on company vehicles and aircraft.
  • Unload flight sets from aircraft onto company vehicles and restrain.
  • Performs driving duties (short distance)
  • Preparation and packing of catering equipment
  • Liaises with airlines staff and hand over delivery
  • Communicates in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintains the company’s policy in relation to HALAL,HACCP, food safety and WHS in accordance with company policy
  • Responsible for marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company / airport / airline policies
  • Carries out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refuelling of vehicles
  • Performs administrative documentation and reporting duties as required
  • Follow and implement company and airline specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follows up on any discrepancies and ensures that flight is correct
  • General cleaning duties
  • Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet
    operational demands

Selection Criteria:

  • A current MR or HR drivers license preferable
  • WHS and or First Aid qualifications preferred yet not essential
  • Flexibility in regards to working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including early mornings and late evenings.
  • A satisfactory police record required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks
